He is a veteran of countless television projects and appearances, produced gold records as a recording artist and took Broadway by storm in 1995 in the hugely successful revival of “Damn Yankees” in the starring role of “Mr. Applegate”.

For his tireless work in the fight against neuromuscular disease that spans six decades, Mr. Lewis was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977. In March, 2009, Jerry Lewis received the Jean Hersholt Academy Award® for lifetime achievement in humanitarian causes.
