Sixteen year news veteran Kathleen Bade is returning to San Diego airwaves August 1st as the new prime time anchor of Fox 5 News at 10. The multi-Emmy winner is excited to resume her broadcast career at the all new Fox station in town. After seven years with the CBS affiliate she helped elevate to number one in the market, she is eager to tackle her latest challenge. And it's that kind of tenacity and sense of adventure that's driven Kathleen throughout her life.

Kathleen has tackled numerous projects throughout her career aside from traditional newscasts. She's hosted numerous live TV specials, ranging from high profile murder trial round table discussions to political elections, entertainment shows and professional sporting events.

Her down to earth approach, quick wit and relationship building has garnered her behind-the-scenes access to countless TV and film sets including "Melrose Place", "CSI Miami, "Dr. Phil" and more.

Whether it's hard-hitting interviews or features with foster children, Kathleen is most at home connecting and communicating with people. Her impressive track record of turning broadcasts she's anchored into Number One newscasts in every market she's worked speaks for itself.

Kathleen is also an Emmy Award winning consumer reporter and certified meteorologist. She's been recognized as a dedicated advocate for children and her stories have led to a record-breaking number of adoptions in San Diego County.

A sought after speaker for children's and women's organizations, Kathleen is also a proponent of arthritis research and awareness, in honor of her mother who suffers from Rheumatoid arthritis. She is also very open about her past struggles with infertility and the current challenges of being a working mother.

Kathleen is a mother of two and has been married for 13 years.
